HA HA HA HAAAAA!!!!
Everyone has their dream job. However, there are very few people that actually end up with the vocation that’s directly in line with their individual passions, where going to work is happiness. As depressing as it may seem, I believe that to be true. And I’d like think I’m one of those few who actually love what they do. Every once in a while, I take the time to count my blessings and realize how privileged I am. And every time, I wonder what I did to ever deserve such fortunate circumstances; and to be honest, I may never really know. All I can really do is be thankful.
But to those who don’t have that luxury, those who work to survive, those who struggle to feed their families, those who work not for themselves, but to take care of others, those who do the jobs that no one else wants to do, to those who have had to hustle from day one, I tip my hat to you. You may not find happiness in your work, but you work to find happiness. And I respect and admire the parents who live frugal lives to put their kids through college, so that THEY may have their dream jobs. I even admire those kids who work in order to help support their parents. It humbles me to think of how hard people work for the sake of others.
So, in the spirit of the holidays, I wish everyone happiness in a job well done this year. Whether you love your work, or you work to be with the ones you love this holiday season, I hope everyone finds their own little happiness. For me, I can’t wait to be with my family and friends for Christmas and New Years. As much as I love my job, I can’t wait to be home.
